Originally licensed on another site c 1899 to Matthew Reilly.
The current building dates from 1927 with approval reportedly granted to William Muller to erect a Pub on the corner of Great Northern Road, conditional on the construction of a 10,000 gallons of water storage.
The older hotel site was on the New England highway further to the east.
The Hotel was purchased from Bond brewing by the Publican in 1984
