Royal Hotel in Carcoar
Royal Hotel
Royal Hotel
The only surviving operating pub, the
Royal was established in 1849, demolished in the 1920's and rebuilt, then was destroyed by fire in 1941 and was again rebuilt. The old Stoke Hotel which closed in 1936 was temporarily reopened whilst the Royal was rebuilt. Interesting history.
There are three old Pub buildings in this historic town. Carcoar was the third town west of the Blue Mountains.
