). It's not a date for when it was established but the earliest record of it being granted a license to be a public house – as far as I can find. - Edward Washington" Sydney Gazette

Thanks Edward . Looks to be a licence granted to John Maddox and the Sydney Gazette date is 30/04/1839 so thats an early Public House.

Also in the Sydney Gazette two years on it shows a Publicans License granted to G.Clarke on 30/04/1841
