The Pub opened in 1831 and closed in 1833.
It is next door to the Hero of Waterloo Hotel. I wonder how many kegs and barrels have gone through those cellar doors? - Jon
"The Shipwrights (next to the Hero of Waterloo) was the original house built on the triangular block of land that the HoW now stands on. It was operated as a public house for a number of years, and then the owner moved away to Hunters Hill I recall, selling the land and the house. It was then recorded as a boarding house/ inn some years later. The HoW was later built on the site began to trade, so the Shipwrights was the original Pub on the triangular block. - Edward Washington July 2011"
