Gold Fields Inn Hotel in Tuena
Gold Fields Inn Hotel
Hotel was established in 1866 and is the oldest wattle-and-daub hotel in the country and well worth a visit. Gold was found in Tuena in 1851 and at its height, the population was over 10,000, but by 1869 the gold petered out and the population was less than 100.
Today the town survives with a few historic buildings on dirt road about halfway between Bathurst and Goulburn.
