Royal Hotel
Cnr of Mary and Monkland Streets
"We now have a steakhouse menu with lots of other a-la-carte options on offer. Daily specials start at $10.95."
The Royal was built around the turn of the century. Unfortunately the Mary River floods finally did their damage and the Royal had to be rebuilt in 1935. It was closed two years up to 2007 waiting to be saved
Wes and Trish Wright, their daughter Kerrie Candrick and her husband Paul Candrick bought the Pub and returned it to its former glory
Architects and interior design consultants were hired to ensure the pub was brought back to its former glory.
The original façade was restored and enhanced to complement the many beautiful buildings in Mary Street built during the Gold Rush.
"We spent over $1 million dollars on renovations installing an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant seating 140 people, lounge bar, sports bar, outdoor deck and smoking areas and 11 hotel rooms with ensuites." Kerrie Candrick - Publican. Thanks Kerrie.
