A two-storeyed brick verandahed hotel with elaborate external cast-iron decorative detailing. The finest example in Townsville of this architecture.
Built in 1900-01 built by timber merchants as brick and timber hotel of 36 bedrooms, estimated to cost between £8,000 and £9,000
The entry, dining, hallway and stairs retain much of the original timberwork and charm. Leadlight windows highlight the first floor.
