"The chap who owns this pub was a treat to meet. Turns out the old house over the road, became available for auction when the owner died.

The auctioneer arrived to take stock of the place, and it had a lot of interesting paraphernalia laying around (now pubobilia!). It was going to take days to stocktake the items, so the publican made the auctioneer a cheeky offer (value -privately advised!) - which upon reflection, seemed a great solution to the job of otherwise counting (and describing/identifying) all the loose property! It is now the proud accommodation centre for the pub!" - Gary Pope
