Australasian Hotel in Goolwa
Australasian Hotel
Australasian Hotel
"SHR 13858
– confirmed as a State Heritage Pace 29 June 1989
This two-storey, limestone building is a significant feature in the Goolwa State Heritage Area
The Australasian Hotel was built in 1857, with the first licence granted on 13 January 1858 to O.W. Willcock. Eleven licensees operated the hotel until a closure in March 1934. During its years as a hotel it was also occasionally gazetted as the 'Australian Arms'.
The good news is that the hotel is again trading and offers an impressive venue for patrons to enjoy a cool drink.
