"Photos and a bit of a blurb about the old hotel I have just purchased in central Victoria.
This lovely old former hotel built in the 1860's to service the gold rush is situated on approximately 14 acres in the middle of Central Goldfields Shire at Dunolly.
Just 40 mins from Bendigo, 12 mins from Maryborough, 20 mins from Maldon, 120 mins from Melb, this property is in the middle of everything.
I would love to get any information at all about the old hotel. Especially any old photos." - Rachel
Rachell - 2011 "The Junction Hotel in Broadway, Dunolly, Central Goldfields Victoria.
This is a triple-brick, double story hotel built in 1863 by William and Ann Wigham on a gold mining site known as Burnt Creek.
The roof of the hotel was severely damaged by a storm in about 1912. The licence was not reissued after that time. It has been a ruin, then restored as a family home.
In August 2011 it was purchased by Melburnian Rachel Buckley, who plans to open it as a venue for classical music and operatic soirées. She also has plans for an annual "Gilbert and Sullivan Festival" every September. In April 2012, the National Trust will be holding open days and the hotel will feature with an archaeological dig on the site.
Information can be obtained on Rachel's blog on the National Trust website."

I have spoken to the local historian in the town and asked to be able to research as much as I can about Ann Wigham and the other owners of the Hotel"
