"Court House Hotel Smythesdale was originally built in 1850, the existing brick building was added in 1856. Unfortunately the original weatherboard section was inhabitable and was removed during refurbishment in 2008. Much of the demolished building as possible has been utilised during the refurbishment of the property, like the tables in the bar.

The upstairs area which has been used by previous owners as accommodation has now been restored to its original use and is now available for functions along with the Judge's Bedroom.

Accross the road from the hotel is the Court House which houses the Woady Yaloak Heritage Society and the heritage precinct including the old stables, police lockup and gallows."
