Currently operating as a standard run of the mill country pub. Farmers, shearers and workers drop in for a beer after work , 3 generations of families dine in the lounges and travelers and tourists drop in for a dose of country hospitality.
It's the sort of pub you are happy to bring your kids to. Patrons feel safe and soak up the positive atmosphere of the pub with so much history. The walls are adorned with photographs and memorabilia of the years gone by.
It has always been known as the Tooborac Hotel apart for a brief period where it was trading as the Stags Head Licensed Restaurant in the 90's. It was closed for 3 years between 2002 and 2005 and has been trading solidly since.
It is now open 7 Days for Lunch and Dinner with a Micro Brewery opening in October. As it is located at the Heart of the Heathcote Wine Region the brewery element will ensure the 'Tooby's' continued success.
The only current accommodation as at writing is a single B& B (which is the old cottage nest to the pub)

The pub is celebrating its 150th year this year with a 4 day festival over the first weekend of November, 2007. There will be bush dances, sheep shearing competitions, wood chop competitions and a community muster with all of those that have been involved in the pub over the years welcomed back to wish the old girl Happy Birthday.
